Mid May Catch & Release

Ray, flyfishing right in front of Riverstones Retreat mid may. Gorgeous fish in fabulous condition and a personal best for this year so far. Flyfishing midwinter in New Zealand can be tricky because most of the rivers are closed. But the Tukituki River in Central Hawkes Bay is open for Mid winter fishing and our cottage is warm and cozy right on the banks with easy, private access to this stunning part of the river.
